Australian U19 National Team finished their Four Nations Tournament campaign on a high note. They held off Brazilian counterparts to improve at 5-4 record. The Gems thus shared the second position with hosting China. Brazil fell at 1-8 record at the tourney after the loss. Casey Samuels (180-G-94) was pivotal in the last game scoring 27 points and pulling down 5 boards.

Spirit gets major boost with Richards re-signing. Key Bendigo Bank Spirit player Gabrielle Richards (191-C-84, college: Oregon) has committed to the club for the 2013/14 WNBL season. In 2012-2013 for Bendigo Spirit (WNBL) she became the 5th top-scorer with 15.8ppg, Reb-2 (8.7rpg), 1.5apg, FGP: 52.3%, 3PT: 22.2%, FT: 80.4%.

Rockingham Flames look an unstoppable force after extending their winning streak to eight games and pinching top spot on the Womens State Basketball League ladder.
The Flames, who were beaten by South West in last seasons grand final, started the new season 0-2 but have since turned into the hottest team in the league.
Rockingham leapt above Wanneroo with a thumping 73-47 win at the Mike Barnett Sports Complex on Friday
