Lakeside Lightning-Willetton Tigers 96:107

Willetton Tigers triumph in SBL as the team won the Final game last night. WA Basketball Centre saw 107:96 win over Lakeside Lightning in the last game. Both teams finished the Regular Season with 21-5 records on top and both reached the Final rightfully.
Lakeside Lightning started with 30-29 in the opening quarter and looked better in the first half. The squad added 28-21 in the second period and dominated the court. The second half however belonged to the Tigers. They bounced back with 33-19 in the third frame to take the minimum lead entering the final stanza. Another 24-19 in the last frame brought the final win for the Tigers.
Daniel Johnson (212-C-88, college: Pepperdine) exploded with 37 points for the winners, while Cameron Tovey (200-F-85, college: Augusta St.) netted 31. Alex Prince (84) nailed 27, while Ty Shaw (202-F/C-79, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement, college: Albertson) collected 5 points and 18 rebounds. Luke Payne (188-G-85, college: USC Upstate) finished the night with 22 points in the losing effort. Jarrad Prue (199-C-82) collected 20 points and 21 rebounds and Benjamin Beran posted 19. Christopher Sofoulis ended up with 14 points in the losing case.
