Dandenong Rangers extend deal with Canadian center Krista Phillips - Jun 1, 2012

Dandenong Rangers announced another important signing. After WNBL Grand Final MVP Kathleen Macleod (167-G-86), the team also extended deal with Krista Phillips (198-C-88, college: Michigan). The Canadian center had 11 ppg, 7.4 rpg and 1.5 apg for the club in 21 games. She helped Dandenong to win the WNBL title. Krista Phillips arrived to Dandenong a year ago from Spain. She split 2010/11 season between Italian Umbertide and Spanish Burgos. For 18 games with Burgos she had 7.4 ppg and 6.3 rpg. Phillips graduated at the University of Michigan in 2010. They reached NIT Final Four that season. Krista Phillips is active member of the Canadian National Team since 2010. She helped them to win the Bronze at 2011 FIBA Americas in Neiva. For 6 games at this even the center had 6.8 ppg and 4 rpg.

Adelaide Link Lightning (WNBL) agreed terms with 22-year old naturalized Greek guard Vanessa Panousis (170-95). She just graduated from Virginia Tech (NCAA). Panousis has played there for the last four years. In 33 games she had 9.3ppg, 2.4rpg and 1.8apg last season. She helped them to make it to the WNIT Elite Eight. and they also made it to the WNIT Elite Eight. As mentioned above Panousis is just out of the college and it will be her first season as a pro. Residence de Walferdange (Total League) signed 25-year old American forward Alli Gloyd (185-92, college: Arizona). She plays this summer at Cairns Dolphins in Australian QBL. In 8 games she had very impressive stats: 17.1ppg, 10.0rpg, 1.4apg and 1.4spg. The last season Gloyd played at Wolfpack Wolfenbuettel in German 2.Bundesliga where in 27 games she recorded also remarkable stats: 17.6ppg, 10.7rpg, 1.6apg and 1.1spg.
