Dandenong Rangers extend deal with Canadian center Krista Phillips - Jun 1, 2012

Dandenong Rangers announced another important signing. After WNBL Grand Final MVP Kathleen Macleod (167-G-86), the team also extended deal with Krista Phillips (198-C-88, college: Michigan). The Canadian center had 11 ppg, 7.4 rpg and 1.5 apg for the club in 21 games. She helped Dandenong to win the WNBL title. Krista Phillips arrived to Dandenong a year ago from Spain. She split 2010/11 season between Italian Umbertide and Spanish Burgos. For 18 games with Burgos she had 7.4 ppg and 6.3 rpg. Phillips graduated at the University of Michigan in 2010. They reached NIT Final Four that season. Krista Phillips is active member of the Canadian National Team since 2010. She helped them to win the Bronze at 2011 FIBA Americas in Neiva. For 6 games at this even the center had 6.8 ppg and 4 rpg.

Former international Center Elizabeth Cambage (203-C-91) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked Bulleen B., receiving a Australiabasket.com Player of the Week award for round 7. The 26-year old player had a double-double of 32 points and 11 rebounds, while her team outclassed UC Capitals (#8, 2-9) with 30-point margin 96-66. WNBL Round 7: Boomers keep a leadership position - 4 days ago
The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Boomers as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Boomers smashed 8th ranked Canberra Capitals in Melbourne 96-66. They outrebounded Canberra Capitals 45-30 including a 38-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Boomers looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists.
