Dandenong Rangers extend deal with Canadian center Krista Phillips - Jun 1, 2012

Dandenong Rangers announced another important signing. After WNBL Grand Final MVP Kathleen Macleod (167-G-86), the team also extended deal with Krista Phillips (198-C-88, college: Michigan). The Canadian center had 11 ppg, 7.4 rpg and 1.5 apg for the club in 21 games. She helped Dandenong to win the WNBL title. Krista Phillips arrived to Dandenong a year ago from Spain. She split 2010/11 season between Italian Umbertide and Spanish Burgos. For 18 games with Burgos she had 7.4 ppg and 6.3 rpg. Phillips graduated at the University of Michigan in 2010. They reached NIT Final Four that season. Krista Phillips is active member of the Canadian National Team since 2010. She helped them to win the Bronze at 2011 FIBA Americas in Neiva. For 6 games at this even the center had 6.8 ppg and 4 rpg.

Tarbes Gespe Bigorre (LFB) signed 28-year old Australian international center Abby Bishop (189-88, agency: LBM Management). She played last summer at Seattle Storm (WNBA), but left the team in June. But in 13 games she had just 0.9ppg. The last season Bishop played at Canberra Capitals in Australian WNBL where in 24 games she recorded 14.6ppg, 7.6rpg, 1.8apg and 1.1bpg. Canberra adds Froling to their roster - 1 day ago

Canberra Capitals (WNBL) added to their roster 20-year old forward Keely Froling (188-96, college: SMU). She played last summer at Bendigo Lady Braves (SEABL-South). In 23 games she had very impressive stats: 16.0ppg, 9.7rpg, 1.7apg and 1.3bpg. Froling just graduated from Southern Methodist University and it will be her first season as a pro. She represented Australia at the World Championships U17 in Amsterdam (Holland) four years ago. Her stats at that event were 8 games: 5.0ppg, 3.8rpg.    [read more]
