NBL Round 8: Leader Kings lose to Adelaide 36ers - 7 days ago

There were many interesting games last round. The round ended with defeat of the leader and favorites losing the games. Top ranked Kings (8-6) recorded its sixth loss in Sydney on Monday night. Hosts were defeated by eighth ranked Adelaide 36ers (5-6) 91-85. Kings were trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 25-18 charge of Adelaide 36ers, which allowed them to win the game. They made 20-of-22 free shots (90.9 percent) during the game.    [read more]

Club Trouville Montevideo (LUB) signed 28-year old American forward Gary Johnson (198-108kg-88, college: Texas). He played last summer at N W Tasmania in Australian SEABL-South. In 23 games he had very impressive stats: 22.1ppg, 8.4rpg and 1.9apg. In 2011 Johnson was drafted by Tulsa 66ers (D-League) in first round (16th overall). American Forward Torrey Craig (198-F-90) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Bullets, receiving a Australiabasket.com Player of the Week award for round 7. The 26-year old player had a double-double of 34 points and 11 rebounds, while his team crushed 36ers (#8, 3-6) with 18-point margin 105-87. Bullets is placed at 2nd position in Australian NBL.
