Cairns Taipans (NBL) signed 28-year old American small forward Tony Mitchell (198-98kg-89, college: Alabama). He started the season at Hapoel Eilat in Israeli Winner League. In 5 games he had 8.8ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.4spg this season.
