Hoverla Ivano-Frankivsk (Superleague) agreed terms with 27-year old American guard Ayinde Ubaka (193-91kg-85, college: California). He played last season at Hawks in Australian NBL league. In 11 games last year he had 13.6ppg, 3.5rpg and 2.6apg. Ubaka also played at Melbourne Tigers in NBL that season. In 18 games he recorded 12.0ppg, 2.4rpg and 3.3apg.
The previous (10-11) season he played at Cairns Taipans in NBL. In 34 games he recorded 13.9ppg, 2.7rpg and 3.9apg. He helped them to make it to the final. Quite impressive season as he was named to Australiabasket.com All-Australian NBL Honorable Mention.
Ubaka was voted NABC All-NCAA District 14 2nd Team back in 2007 at his college time.
Ubaka is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Belgium (Antwerp Giants), Germany (New Yorker Phantoms and Deutsche Bank Skyliners), Poland (Slask Wroclaw and Energa Czarni), D-League (Springfield Armor).
Ubaka attended University of California until 2007 and it will be his sixth season as a professional player.

American Travis Trice (183-PG-93) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Taipans and that's him to receive a Australiabasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8. The 23-year old playmaker had the game-high 31 points adding two rebounds and seven assists for Taipans in his team's victory, helping them to beat Breakers (#5, 6-6) 91-80. NBL Round 8: Leader Kings lose to Adelaide 36ers - 8 days ago

There were many interesting games last round. The round ended with defeat of the leader and favorites losing the games. Top ranked Kings (8-6) recorded its sixth loss in Sydney on Monday night. Hosts were defeated by eighth ranked Adelaide 36ers (5-6) 91-85. Kings were trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 25-18 charge of Adelaide 36ers, which allowed them to win the game.
