Hobart Chargers secured the services of Larry Williams (191-G-86, college: Ark.-Pine Bluff). The guard filled in the second import spot. Larry Williams spent the last season in Australia. He started the season in the Darwin Eagles. The guard notched 26.8 points, 7.1 boards, 4.6 assists and 3.2 steals per game for the Darwin Eagles in Australia State League. Later Larry Williams moved to the Burnie Tigers in NWBU. He notched 29.5 points, 8.6 boards, 4.2 assists per appearance. Larry Williams was named NWBU Player of the Year. Previously he had stints Lebanon and Saudi Arabia. The guard also had a stint with Power 92 Jammers touring team.

Brisbane Bullets (NBL) agreed terms with 18-year old guard Matthew Kenyon (195-98). He played this summer at BA Centre of Excellence (SEABL-South). In 10 games he had 9.9ppg, 3.9rpg, 3.0apg and 2.0spg. NBL will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time. Kenyon has played previously for New South Wales Country. Argentina - Australia 83:84 Australia celebrated a narrow victory over hosting Argentina in the preparations for the upcoming Olympic Games. The games are now more important than at the beginning of the Regular Season. We may still expect few shocking results in upcoming 3 rounds. The round was exceptionally exciting as three games ended with a tiny margin. There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with change at the leadership position, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.
