Shawn
Redhage
31-year old forward Shawn Redhage (203-F-81, agency: Warren Sports International) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Wildcats and receives a Australiabasket.com Player of the Week award for round 14.
He had the game-high 18 points adding seven rebounds and four assists for Wildcats in his team's victory, helping them to beat Tigers (#6, 5-9) 73-58. Wildcats maintains the 2nd position in Australian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Wildcats will need more victories to improve their 11-4 record. Redhage has many years of experience at Wildcats, through which he has constantly improved. Arizona State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Redhage is in league's top in points (8th best: 13.7ppg), assists (9th best: 2.7apg) and averages solid 1.1bpg.

Second best performed player last round was Daniel Johnson (212-C-88) of 36ers. He is a center in his first season at 36ers. In the last game Johnson recorded impressive 24 points and 7 rebounds. Of course he lead 36ers to another comfortable win 82-64 over slightly higher-ranked Kings (#3, 10-8) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed 36ers to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-11 record. Johnson is a newcomer at 36ers and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.5ppg (#6). He also registered 7.9 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Gary Ervin (183-PG-83) of Crocodiles (#8). Ervin scored 29 points and passed four assists. Despite Ervin's great performance Crocodiles lost 78-82 to the higher-ranked Breakers (#1, 13-3). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Crocodiles not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 11 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Ervin could try to bring Crocodiles' a little bit higher in the standings. Ervin has individually a great season in Australia. After 15 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.1ppg (2nd best) and assists with 4.5apg (3rd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Larry Davidson (206-C/F-83) of Hawks - 11 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Luke Nevill (218-C-86) of Crocodiles - 20 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Matthew Knight (203-F/C-85) of Wildcats - 14 points and 8 rebounds
7. Aaron Grabau (196-G/F-78) of Taipans - 22 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Glen Saville (197-F/G-76) of Hawks - 14 points and 8 rebounds
9. Mika Vukona (198-F-82) of Breakers - 8 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists
10. Cedric Jackson (191-G-86) of Breakers - 10 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
