Matt Hodgson joins Bullets - Apr 27, 2018

Matt Hodgson
Brisbane Bullets (NBL) agreed terms with 26-year old international center Matt Hodgson (211-116kg-91, college: St.Mary's, CA). He started the season at played at 36ers. In 35 NBL games he had 4.5ppg and 3.2rpg this season. Hodgson helped them to make it to the final after they ended regular season as second best team. The last summer he played at Knox Raiders (Big V) where in 16 games he recorded 13.9ppg, 9.6rpg and 2.1bpg. Hodgson contributed to his team winning the regular season and make it to the semifinals.
He has been also a member of Australian international program for some years. Hodgson has regularly played for Australian senior team since 2017 and previously for University National Team back in 2011.
He also represented Australia at the FIBA Asia Cup in Lebanon last year. Hodgson's team won Gold and his stats at that event were 5 games: 8.8ppg, 6.6rpg, 1.2apg, 1.0bpg, FGP: 65.5%, FT: 30.0%.
Hodgson has played previously for three other teams: United, Waverley Falcons and Frankston Blues.
He attended Saint Mary's College of California until 2014 and it is his fourth season as a professional player.

DAVID WEAR Sydney Kings (NBL) added to their roster 27-year old American forward David Wear (208-86kg-90, college: UCLA). He played last season at played at Osaka Evessa in Japanese B League. In 60 games he had 7.7ppg, 4.6rpg and 1.0apg. The previous (16-17) season Wear played at Baloncesto Fuenlabrada in Spanish Liga Endesa where in 30 games he recorded 6.2ppg and 2.4rpg. The round was exceptionally exciting as nine games ended with a tiny margin. There was no lack of interesting games this round.
