Adekponya contributed to his team making it to the semifinals. A very good season in his career as he was awarded Australiabasket.com All-Australian SBL Domestic Player of the Year, selected to 1st Team and to the All-Star Game.
Last year he was drafted by Grand Rapids Drive (D-League) in sixth round (99th overall).
Among other achievements Adekponya won Australian QBL championship title in 2009 and 2015.
He is a very experienced player. Adekponya has played previously professionally in Malta (Depiro), Portugal (Barcelos), Australia (Mackay Meteors, Cairns Taipans and Cairns Marlins) and Norway (Nidaros Jets).
