Tabatha
Richardson-Smith
Forward Tabatha Richardson-Smith (183-F) had a great game in the last round for Gladstone PCP and receives a Australiabasket.com State League Player of the Week award for round 19.
She had a double-double of 44 points and 13 rebounds, while her team crushed Cairns D. (#8, 7-7) with 16-point margin 83-67. Gladstone PCP maintains the 4th position in their group in Australian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Gladstone PCP will need more victories to improve their 9-5 record. In the team's last game Richardson-Smith had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. She has many years of experience at Gladstone PCP, through which she has constantly improved. Tabatha Richardson-Smith averages this season 31.0ppg, 10.4rpg and 4.8apg.

Second best performed player last round was Markel Walker (185-F-90) of Ipswich F.. She is American forward in her first season at Ipswich F.. In the last game Walker recorded impressive double-double of 36 points and 18 rebounds. Of course Ipswich F. cruised to a 107-97 relatively comfortable win over the higher-ranked Logan T. (#2, 13-2). This victory allowed Ipswich F. to move up to 7th position in QBL. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But 8-7 record is not bad and everything may still change. Walker is one of the most experienced players at Ipswich F. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Sarah Boothe (195-F/C-90) of Bulleen B. (#4). Boothe showcased her all-around game by recording 22 points, twenty three rebounds (!!!) and six assists in the last round. She was a key player of Bulleen B., leading her team to a 79-39 easy win against the lower-ranked Diamond VE (#10, 2-17). Bulleen B. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Big V. Their record at this point is 13 victories and 6 lost games. Boothe has a great season in Australia. After 13 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 15.1rpg (#1 in league). She also has 1.7bpg and FGP: 53.6%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Chelsea Brook (188-F) of Norwood F. - 30 points, 15 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Colleen Planeta (188-F-88) of Hume City B. - 26 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists
6. Natalie Van Den Adel (185-G-90) of Bulleen B. - 26 points, 17 rebounds and 8 assists
7. Shenita Landry (188-F-87) of Ipswich F. - 20 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists
8. Adijat Adams (188-C-92) of Albury LB - 17 points, 22 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Ali Schwagmeyer (180-F-90) of Lakeside L. - 22 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists
10. Maddie Allen (190-C) of Brisbane S. - 22 points and 17 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
