Illawarra Hawks (NBL) inked 27-year old American forward Demitrius Conger (196-93kg-90, college: St.Bonaventure). He played most recently at Port of Antwerp Giants in Belgian Euromillions League. In 42 games he averaged 11.5ppg, 4.2rpg and 2.1apg last season. Conger helped them to win the Supercup and make to league semifinals. He also played 12 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he had 11.8ppg, 4.4rpg and 1.8apg.
The most of previous (2015-16) season Conger spent at Hapoel Tel Aviv (Winner League) in Israel. In 18 games he recorded 7.8ppg, 4.4rpg and 1.6apg. The other team he played that season for was Aiolos Trikallon in Greek A1. In 17 games he got impressive 16.3ppg, 6.4rpg, 1.5apg and 1.5spg.
Conger has played previously professionally in Italy (Lucca and Omegna) and Dominican Republic (Indios de San Francisco).
He attended St.Bonaventure University until 2013 and it will be his fifth season in pro basketball.
Conger's game is described as: A swingman with nice size and athleticism, has a deep shooting range too. Loves to have the ball in his hands, and has enough court vision to spend some time at the 2 position. Ended college with great stats, could become a star at international level.
