Casey
Prather
Melbourne United (NBL) tabbed 26-year old American swingman Casey Prather (198-96kg-91, college: Florida). He played most recently at Ratiopharm in German BBL league. In 13 games he averaged 8.5ppg, 2.5rpg and 1.2apg last season. Prather helped them to win the regular season and make it to the semifinals. He also played that season for Perth Wildcats where in 32 NBL games he was fourth best scorer with impressive 19.5ppg and recorded 4.6rpg, 3.5apg and 1.6spg (in top 3). Prather contributed to his team winning the league title (twice). He can count that season as a very successful as was awarded Australiabasket.com All-Australian NBL Forward of the Year, selected to 1st Team and selected to All-Imports Team.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
Among other achievements Prather received HS All-West Player of the Year award back in 2009 and 2010 at his college time.
Prather has played previously professionally in NBA (Phoenix Suns) and NBA G League (Northern Arizona Suns).
He attended University of Florida until 2014 and it will be his fourth season in pro basketball.
Let's have closer look into Prather's outlook: A hard-working athletic forward who loves physical play and rebounding on both ends of the floor...Able to easily navigate traffic with his ball-handing skills to generate scoring opportunities.
