Casper Ware
Melbourne United (NBL) added to their roster 27-year old American point guard Casper Ware (178-80kg-90, college: Long Beach State). It is actually his comeback to United as he has played here before. Ware played last season at ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket in French ProA. In 20 games he recorded 10.4ppg, 1.4rpg and 3.8apg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. Ware also played that season for United where in 18 NBL games he was second best scorer with impressive 22.1ppg and had 2.6rpg, 4.5apg (top 2) and 1.3spg (in top 5). A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted to Australiabasket.com All-Australian NBL 1st Team and All-Imports Team.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Ware won French ProA championship title in 2016. He was also voted All-Big West Player of the Year back in 2011 and 2012 at his college time.
Ware is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit four different continents. Ware tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Australia and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in China (Gold Lions), Germany (EWE Baskets), Italy (Novipiu Casale and Virtus Bologna) and NBA (Brooklyn Nets, Phi.76ers and Washington Wizards).
Ware attended Long Beach State until 2012 and it will be his sixth season as a professional player.
On Ware: A sparkling kind of PG, who has a little body but is very effective in creating for teammates. A defensive specialist, he puts a lot of pressure on the ball and on opposite guards.
