Rotnei
Clarke
Illawarra Hawks (NBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 28-year old American point guard Rotnei Clarke (183-83kg-89, college: Butler). It is actually his comeback to Illawarra Hawks as he has played here before. Clarke played most recently at VL Pesaro in Italian Serie A. In 8 games he recorded very impressive stats: 19.5ppg, 3.0rpg, 2.9apg and 1.0spg last season. Clarke also played that season for Illawarra Hawks where in 34 NBL games he averaged remarkable 17.4ppg, 2.7rpg, 2.8apg and 1.0spg. He helped them to make it to the final. Great season indeed as he was awarded Australiabasket.com All-Australian NBL Sixth Player of the Year and voted to Honorable Mention.
Clarke has played previously professionally in Belgium (Okapi Aalstar) and Germany (Telekom Baskets).
He attended Butler University until 2013 and it will be his fifth season in pro basketball.
