Jerome
Randle
Sydney Kings (NBL) landed 30-year old Ukrainian ex-international point guard Jerome Randle (175-77kg-87, college: California). He has a double citizenship as he also holds American passport. Randle already started the season at Bahcesehir in Turkish TBL league. In 5 games he averaged impressive 16.2ppg, 2.4rpg and 3.8apg this season. Randle ended the last season at Limoges CSP Elite in French ProA where in 14 games he had 10.1ppg, 1.0rpg and 4.0apg. But the most of that year he spent at Adelaide 36ers. In 31 NBL games he was third best scorer with remarkable 21.3ppg and recorded 3.0rpg, 5.4apg (leader !!!) and 1.0spg. Randle helped them to win the regular season and make it to the semifinals. It was a very successful season in his career as he was awarded Australiabasket.com All-Australian NBL Player of the Year, Import Player of the Year and Guard of the Year.
Randle has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2015.
He received All-Pac-10 Player of the Year award back in 2010 at his college time.
Randle also represented Ukraine at the European Championships two years ago. His stats at that event were 5 games: 13.2ppg, 2.0rpg, 4.4apg, FGP: 55.6%, 3PT: 23.1%, FT: 70.0%.
Randle is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in eight different countries playing on three different continents. He is familiar with European, Australian and of course North American leagues. Randle has played previously professionally in Belgium, China, Israel, Lithuania (Zalgiris), NBA (Dallas Mavericks), Ukraine (Mariupol) and NBA G League (Texas Legends, Maine Red Claws and Delaware 87ers).
He attended University of California until 2010 and it is his eighth season in pro basketball.
Let's have closer look into Randle's outlook: A PG with great athletic skills, who can easily play at the upper level despite size. Has great court vision, can serve a teammate in a surprising way, simply because he's sometimes umpredictable. Can score and defend, doesn' t fear any opponent or situation. Great leadership and sparkling style of play seem to grant him a long career.

Brock Motum selected the top Australian playing abroad in last week's games - 2 days ago
Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Australians who are currently playing abroad. This week's number one is an international power forward Brock Motum (208-90). He could not help Anadolu Efes (2-6) in their last game. Despite Motum's very good performance Anadolu Efes was edged 82-81 at home by the much lower-ranked (#25) Panathinaikos.    [read more]
