American Forward Demitrius Conger (196-F-90) had an amazing evening in the last round for Hawks, receiving a Australiabasket.com Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 27-year old player had a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat 36ers (4-5) 96-87. Hawks is placed at 4th position in Australian NBL. Hawks is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-5 record. Conger turned to be Hawks' top player in his first season with the team. Former St.Bonaventure University star has very solid stats this year. Conger is in league's top in points (5th best: 17.8ppg), rebounds (6th best: 6.2rpg) and averages impressive 59.5% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 24-year old Cameroonian JP Tokoto (198-F-93) of league's second-best Wildcats. Tokoto had a very good evening with 30 points and 8 rebounds. Bad luck as Wildcats lost that game 82-88 to slightly higher-ranked Breakers (#1, 8-1). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Wildcats still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 5-3 record is not bad at all. Tokoto is a newcomer at Wildcats, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.3ppg (#6). He also registered 5.4 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was international guard Mitchell McCarron (191-G-92) of Taipans (#6). McCarron showcased his all-around game by recording 14 points, eleven rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. He was a key player of Taipans, leading his team to a 92-69 easy win against the higher-ranked United (#3, 5-4). The chances of Taipans ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 6 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, McCarron could help Taipans to bring them higher in the standings. McCarron has a very solid season. In 10 games in Australia he scored 9.8ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Rotnei Clarke (183-PG-89) of Hawks - 24 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Josh Boone (208-F/C-84) of United - 19 points and 13 rebounds
6. Casey Prather (198-F/G-91) of United - 22 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Bryce Cotton (185-G-92) of Wildcats - 26 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Tai Wesley (201-F-86) of United - 21 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Travis Trice (183-PG-93) of Bullets - 17 points, 3 rebounds and 8 assists
10. Cameron Gliddon (197-G/F-89) of Taipans - 20 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
