Mitch Creek
MITCH CREEK

25-year old swingman Mitch Creek (195-F/G-92) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked 36ers and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 17.
He had a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Wildcats (#4, 15-10) 94-82. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. 36ers is placed at 2nd position in Australian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. 36ers will need more victories to improve their 16-10 record. In the team's last game Creek had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range. It's his second year at 36ers and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Mitch Creek averages this season 14.0ppg.

Second best performed player last round was Demitrius Conger (196-F-90) of Hawks. He is American forward in his first season at Hawks. In the last game Conger recorded impressive 24 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Hawks was edged by slightly higher-ranked Breakers (#3, 15-9) 77-73. Hawks managed to keep the same 5th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 10-14 record. Conger is a newcomer at Hawks and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.7ppg (#2). He also registered 5.7 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to another 36ers' star - Daniel Johnson (210-C/F-88). Johnson showcased his all-around game by recording 18 points, nine rebounds and four assists in the last round. He was another key player of 36ers, helping his team with a 94-82 win against #4 ranked Wildcats in a game of the week. 36ers needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 16 victories and 10 lost games. Johnson has a great season in Australia. After 25 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.4ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 7.0rpg (3rd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Josh Boone (208-F/C-84) of United - 15 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Jesse Wagstaff (203-F-86) of Wildcats - 25 points and 2 rebounds
6. Josh Childress (203-F/G-83) of 36ers - 14 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Jerome Randle (175-PG-87) of Kings - 24 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists
8. Tai Wesley (201-F-86) of United - 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Shea Ili (184-G-92) of Breakers - 17 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists
10. Nick Kay (206-C/F-92) of Hawks - 17 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

The Player of the Week awards are presented by Interperformances. Interperformances is a full-service agency specializing in the representation of professional athletes the world-over. Aussies Maker and Dellavedova Were Key for Bucks in First Round - 3 days ago
Despite all of the talk about Milwaukee's Greek Freak, the Bucks were anchored by a couple of Aussies as they competed with the Boston Celtics in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. Thon Maker(216-F-97) and Matthew Dellavedova were key pieces for the Bucks, who have, if nothing else, proved that they are going to be a solid contender in the Eastern Conference for years to come, despite losing in seven games in the first round. Maker was an interesting case in the postseason, as he did no...   [read more]

Harvey's double-double lands him State League Player of the Week award - 3 days ago
KYLE HARVEY 26-year old forward Kyle Harvey (196-F-91) had a very impressive game in the last round for Ipswich F. and receives a Interperformances State League Player of the Week award for round 10. He had a double-double of 36 points and 17 rebounds, while his team crushed Brisbane C. (1-2) with 22-point margin 112-90. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings in QBL. Ipswich F. is placed at 10th position in their group in Au...   [read more]
