Regular Season Round 5: Norwood F. - Forestville E. 90-83

There was a minor upset in Marden where second-ranked Forestville Eagles (1-1) were defeated by eighth ranked Norwood Flames (1-1) 90-83 on Saturday. Norwood Flames forced 20 Forestville Eagles turnovers. American swingman CJ Turnage (201-95, college: SVSU) stepped up and scored 37 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds for the winners and guard Daniel Webber (191-87) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four Norwood Flames players scored in double figures. Norwood Flames' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Michael Harris responded with 35 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and American forward Greg Mays (203-93, college: Green Bay) scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. Norwood Flames left bottom position moving up to fourth place in League. Norwood Flames will face West Adelaide Bearcats (#8) in Woodville in the next round. Forestville Eagles will play at home against North Adelaide Rockets and hope to win that game.
