The most surprising game was the first loss of Sabres (2-1) in East Burwood on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by fourteenth ranked Spectres (1-1) 83-70. Spectres dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Sabres' 30. Guard Eliza Chilcott-Wright (-90) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Louise Brown (190-95, college: Tennessee) contributed with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Spectres players scored in double figures. The former international Jenna OHea (185-87) replied with 27 points and 8 rebounds and the former international Rachel Jarry (185-91) added 16 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Sabres. Spectres left bottom position moving up to eleventh place in League. Sabres at the other side dropped to the sixth position with one game lost. Spectres are looking forward to face league's second-placed Wildcats in Eltham in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Sabres will have a break next round.
