The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Excellence as it allowed them to take a leadership position in League. Excellence smashed 7th ranked Bankstown Bruins in Canberra 100-58. Excellence forced 19 Bankstown Bruins turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of international guard Dyson Daniels (193-3) who helped to win the game recording 9 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and New Zealand center Ben Gold (208-3) who added 19 points during the contest. Center Nathaniel Musters (208-93, college: Lafayette) responded with 6 points and 11 rebounds and forward Jack Lopez (196-94, college: Montana) scored 10 points.
