There was a surprise result in Condell Park where eleventh ranked Bruins (1-3) defeated higher ranked Hawks (1-1) 72-58 on Saturday. Bruins forced 20 Hawks turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Tahlia Tupaea (174-97) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds. The former international point guard Alicia Poto (166-78) chipped in a triple-double by scoring 13 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Ella Dent who recorded 16 points and 7 rebounds and Maddison Delaney added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Four Hawks players scored in double figures. Bruins left bottom position moving up to tenth place in League. Loser Hawks dropped to the seventh position with one game lost. Bruins will have a break next round.
