Regular Season Round 9: Bendigo B. - Dandenong R. 91-89

Date: May 2, 2021
No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Bendigo Braves (3-1) edged at home bottom-ranked Dandenong Rangers (0-3) 91-89 on Sunday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Bendigo Braves forced 19 Dandenong Rangers turnovers. The best player for the winners was American forward Ray Turner (206-90, college: Texas A&M) who had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds. Point guard Brennan Rymer (183, college: Azusa Pacific) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Oliver Hayes-Brown (208, college: UC Riverside) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and guard Sean Macdonald (185-0) added 22 points respectively. Five Bendigo Braves and four Dandenong Rangers players scored in double figures. Bendigo Braves moved-up to second place in League. Loser Dandenong Rangers still closes the standings with three games lost. Bendigo Braves will face Tigers (#16) in Melbourne in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Dandenong Rangers will play on the road against Spectres in East Burwood and hope to get finally their first victory.
