No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Sharks (3-5) crushed bottom-ranked Whittlesea P. (0-8) in Dromana 73-52 on Saturday. Sharks forced 25 Whittlesea P. turnovers. It was a very good performance for Tanarly Hood who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists. Ashleigh Wright contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Sharks had such big advantage that coach felt comfortable to give the chance to play for 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Lithuanian guard Saule Kontautaite (175-89, college: W.Illinois) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and Lyndsey Hoogenhout added 14 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks in the effort for Whittlesea P.Sharks moved-up to sixth place in League. Loser Whittlesea P. still closes the standings with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
