Regular Season Round 10: NW Tasmania - Eltham W. 87-69

Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked NW Tasmania Thunder (4-1) defeated 15th ranked Eltham Wildcats (1-4) in Ulverstone 87-69 on Saturday. NW Tasmania Thunder dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Eltham Wildcats' 26. Quite impressive performance for New Zealand guard Mason Bragg (182-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 assists. Swingman Joe Chilcott (193-96) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Five NW Tasmania Thunder players scored in double figures. Point guard Adam Doyle (176-91) replied with 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Justin Aver (190-89) added 12 points in the effort for Eltham Wildcats. Eltham Wildcats' coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. NW Tasmania Thunder moved-up to fourth place in League. Loser Eltham Wildcats dropped to the fourteenth position with four games lost. NW Tasmania Thunder will face Diamond Valley Eagles (#6) in Greensborough in the next round. Eltham Wildcats will play at home against Sabres (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
