Very predictable result when top-ranked Frankston Blues (5-0) won against 9th ranked Ballarat Rush (2-3) in Wendouree 61-50 on Saturday. Frankston Blues forced 24 Ballarat Rush turnovers. Strangely Ballarat Rush outrebounded Frankston Blues 52-36 including a 38-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Quite impressive performance for international guard Tessa Lavey (172-93) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Taylah Giliam (173-99) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Forward Alicia Froling (190-96, college: SMU) replied with 6 points and 19 rebounds and Milly Cracknell added 8 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Ballarat Rush. Frankston Blues maintains second position in League with 5-0 record having just one victory less than leader Sutherland S. Loser Ballarat Rush dropped to the twelfth place with three games lost.
