Not a big story in a game in Hobart where bottom-ranked Diamond Valley Eagles (0-7) were defeated by first ranked Chargers (1-4) 84-68 on Friday. Chargers made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Diamond Valley Eagles turnovers. The best player for the winners was Austrian-British forward Ellie Collins (183-98) who had a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international guard Madeleine Garrick (178-92) chipped in 23 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Hayley Sparks who recorded 19 points and 5 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and Imogen Rock added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively.
