Regular Season Round 13: Inner WB - Maitland M. 81-85

Very predictable result in Inner West where fifth ranked Mustangs (6-3) beat 11th ranked Bulls (3-5) 85-81 on Saturday. Mustangs dominated down low during the game scoring 38 of its points in the paint compared to Bulls' 16 and made 26-of-32 free shots (81.3 percent) during the game, while Bulls only scored eight points from the stripe. They outrebounded Bulls 42-31 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Daniel Millburn fired 27 points (made all of his fourteen free throws !!!) for the winners. Guard Kaia Isaac (185-3) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. Four Mustangs players scored in double figures. Mustangs' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Hunter Madden (184-1, college: Idaho) produced 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and American Henry Mayen added 7 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Mustangs maintains fifth place in League with 6-3 record. Loser Bulls keep the eleventh position with five games lost. Mustangs will face higher ranked Norths Soul Sports Bears (#3) in Crows Nest in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bulls will play on the road against Bankstown Bruins (#10) in Condell Park and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
