Regular Season Round 14: NW Tasmania - Hobart C. 94-81

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked NW Tasmania Thunder as it allowed them to take a leadership position in League. NW Tasmania Thunder defeated one of their biggest challengers Huskies in Ulverstone 94-81. It was a key game for the top position in League. NW Tasmania Thunder looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 27 personal fouls committed by Huskies helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. International point guard Taran Armstrong (193-2) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Canadian power forward Paul Campbell (208-87, college: Hawaii) contributed with 18 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners. The former international point guard Tad Dufelmeier (183-96, college: CUI) replied with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and naturalized Greek guard Jonathon Mines (193-91, college: NMHU) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Huskies. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Huskies' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Huskies at the other side dropped to the third place with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
