State League top team - Thunder (6-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed thirteenth ranked Roar (0-4) in Brisbane 73-46. Thunder made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 27 Roar turnovers. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Mikaela Ruef (190-90, college: Stanford) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 16 rebounds. Mikhaela Cann contributed with 13 points, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Four Thunder players scored in double figures. Kassandra Donnelly answered with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Lorna Shepherd added 12 points in the effort for Roar. Thunder maintains first place in League with 6-0 record. Roar at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Thunder's next round opponent will be Capitals (#7) in Brisbane which should be theoretically another easy game. Roar's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Brisbane Capitals.
