Rather expected game in Perth where 8th ranked Giants (4-6) were crushed by sixth ranked Senators (6-2) 104-83 on Sunday. Senators forced 21 Giants turnovers and outrebounded them 49-32 including a 22-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. It was a great evening for forward Caleb Davis (206-95, college: SVSU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international forward Cody Ellis (202-90, college: St.Louis) helped adding 27 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Senators' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was swingman Jerome Reid (195-96) with 19 points and 5 assists and forward Fletcher Klasztorny (200-98, college: N.Dakota St.) scored 16 points. Five Senators and four Giants players scored in double figures. Senators moved-up to fourth place in League. Loser Giants dropped to the ninth position with six games lost. Senators will face higher ranked Lightning (#3) in North Lake in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Giants will play at home against Suns (#14) and hope to win that game.
