The game in Stoke was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Nuggets (8-5) played at the court of 6th ranked Giants (5-7). Nuggets defeated Giants 94-84 on Friday. Nuggets had a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Nuggets especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The winners were led by American guard Isaiah Moss (196-96, college: Kansas) who scored that evening 24 points and 8 rebounds and the former international power forward Samuel Timmins (211-97, college: Washington) supported him with 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Nuggets' coach Brent Matehaere used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 19 points and 7 rebounds by swingman Sam Dempster (194-90) did not help to save the game for Giants. American guard Hunter Hale (192-97, college: Winthrop) added 21 points, 5 assists and 5 steals for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains fourth position with 8-5 record. Loser Giants dropped to the seventh place with seven games lost. Nuggets will meet at home Huskies (#6) in the next round. Giants will play against the league's second-placed Saints and hope to secure a win.
