Very predictable result in Wonthella where fourth ranked Wanneroo (7-5) smashed 10th ranked Buccaneers (3-8) 88-69 on Sunday. Wanneroo dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Buccaneers' 28. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American guard Jonathan Wade (196-93, college: Norfolk St.) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Naturalized Greek guard Trian Iliadis (190-89, college: ODU) chipped in 19 points. Four Wanneroo players scored in double figures. Wanneroo's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Naturalized South Sudanese swingman Mathiang Muo (196-87, college: Charleston So.) produced 29 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and swingman Aaron Ralph (200-89) added 23 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Despite that victory Wanneroo went down to sixth position (League) due to points difference. Loser Buccaneers dropped to the eleventh place with eight games lost. Wanneroo will meet at home higher ranked Flames (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Buccaneers will play against Redbacks (#5) in Northbridge and hope to secure a win.
