There was no surprise in Dromana where 8th ranked Sharks (3-8) were defeated by fifth ranked Thunder (5-4) 66-52 on Saturday. American guard Zoe Zwerling (173-96, college: Northeastern) stepped up and scored 13 points for the winners and forward Bianca Babic (183-94, college: Murray St.) chipped in 14 points. The best for the losing side was Tanarly Hood with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Fiona Darnell scored 6 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Thunder maintains fifth place in League with 5-4 record. Loser Sharks keep the eighth position with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
