The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked Kilsyth Cobras' (5-5) road victory over 9th ranked Ringwood Hawks (5-5) 78-74 on Friday. The best player for the winners was Adrian Tomada who scored 26 points. Center Timothy Lang (206-85, college: Stetson) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Matthew Fennell (196) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds and center Adrien Sturt (209-86, college: Snow CC) added 15 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Despite that victory Kilsyth Cobras went down to eleventh position (League) due to points difference. Kilsyth Cobras will meet higher ranked Spectres (#7) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Ringwood Hawks will play against Dandenong Rangers (#15) and hope to secure a win.
