Regular Season Round 19: Eltham W. - Dandenong R. 70-81

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 16th ranked Eltham Wildcats' (2-10) home loss to fifteenth ranked Dandenong Rangers (3-8) 70-81 on Friday. It was a great evening for forward Venkatesha Jois (203-93, college: EWU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds. Oliver Hayes-Brown (208, college: UC Riverside) helped adding 19 points and 16 rebounds. Dandenong Rangers' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side guard Justin Aver (190-89) responded with 21 points and 5 assists (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) and point guard Adam Doyle (176-91) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Dandenong Rangers maintains fifteenth place in League with 3-8 record. Loser Eltham Wildcats keep the sixteenth position with ten games lost. Dandenong Rangers will meet at home higher ranked Bandits (#14) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Eltham Wildcats will play against Spectres in East Burwood and hope to secure a win.
