This time Magic used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Joondalup 90-81 on Saturday night. Magic forced 20 Wanneroo turnovers. It was a great evening for Brazilian-American guard Scott Machado (186-90, college: Iona) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Guard Jerami Grace (190-94, college: Langston) helped adding 20 points and 9 rebounds. Five Magic players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Jonathan Wade (196-93, college: Norfolk St.) responded with 20 points and 5 rebounds and guard Lochlan Cummings (189-95, college: HIU) scored 12 points and 4 steals. Wanneroo's coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Magic (8-6) moved-up to sixth place in League. Loser Wanneroo dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. Magic will meet at home higher ranked Tigers (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Wanneroo will play against Senators (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
