No shocking result in a game in Morley where first ranked Hawks (12-2) smashed 13th ranked Eagles (3-11) 112-53 on Saturday. Hawks dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Eagles' 36. Hawks forced 22 Eagles turnovers and outrebounded them 51-34 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Eagles' players. It was a great evening for center Andrew Ferguson (213-98, college: CS Monterey) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 17 rebounds. Guard Matthew Leary (190-0, college: Knox) helped adding 28 points. Four Hawks players scored in double figures. At the losing side American power forward Lee Roberts (201-87, college: Findlay, OH) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and forward Andrej Donlagic (197-97) scored 6 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hawks maintains first place in League with 12-2 record. Loser Eagles keep the thirteenth position with 11 games lost. Hawks will meet at home Slammers (#14) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Eagles will play against Buccaneers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
