Regular Season Round 19: Rockingham F. - Geraldton B. 91-73

Everything went according to plan in Rockingham where sixth ranked Flames (8-6) won against 12th ranked Buccaneers (3-10) 91-73 on Saturday. They outrebounded Buccaneers 39-25 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for forward Atem Bior (201, college: UTSA) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points and 8 rebounds. Power forward Cirkook Riak (203-92, college: Lamar St.CC) helped adding 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side naturalized South Sudanese swingman Mathiang Muo (196-87, college: Charleston So.) responded with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Dylan Myers (192-97) scored 14 points and 4 assists. Five Flames and four Buccaneers players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Flames moved-up to fifth place in League. Loser Buccaneers keep the twelfth position with ten games lost. Flames will meet Giants (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Buccaneers will play against Senators in Perth and hope to secure a win.
