Regular Season Round 19: Kilsyth C. - Ringwood H. 88-76

Everything went according to plan when ninth ranked Kilsyth Cobras (7-5) won against at home 13th ranked Ringwood Hawks (5-6) 88-76 on Saturday. It was a great evening for naturalized South Sudanese forward Deng Deng (203-92, college: Baylor) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 8 rebounds. Swingman Corey Jeffs (203, college: Winona St.) helped adding 18 points. Four Kilsyth Cobras players scored in double figures. At the losing side naturalized American guard CJ Asuncion-Byrd (194-96, college: LeMoyne) responded with 26 points and 7 rebounds and forward Matthew Fennell (196) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kilsyth Cobras moved-up to seventh place in League. Loser Ringwood Hawks keep the thirteenth position with six games lost. Kilsyth Cobras will meet at home Diamond Valley Eagles (#10) in the next round. Ringwood Hawks will play against Bendigo Braves and hope to secure a win.
