Regular Season Round 26: Bendigo LB - Nunawading S. 94-80

Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Lady Braves (10-2) won against 6th ranked Spectres (8-4) in Bendigo 94-80 on Saturday. Lady Braves dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Spectres' 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Spectres' players. Forward Kate Oliver (193-91, college: USC) notched 34 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and the former international guard Kelly Wilson (170-84) supported her with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists. Even 24 points by the former international guard Rachel Antoniadou (175-96, college: FSU) did not help to save the game for Spectres. Forward Louise Brown (190-95, college: Tennessee) added 13 points and 14 rebounds for the guests. Four Lady Braves and five Spectres players scored in double figures. Lady Braves moved-up to third place in League. Loser Spectres keep the sixth position with four games lost. Lady Braves will meet Geelong Supercats (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Spectres will play against Wildcats (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
