A very close game took place in Mandurah between Magic and Tigers. Sixth ranked Magic (9-6) got a very close home victory over 3rd ranked Tigers (10-3). Magic managed to escape with a 3-point win 65-62 on Saturday evening. The winners were led by Brazilian-American guard Scott Machado (186-90, college: Iona) who scored that evening 21 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and American forward Fred Williams (197-91, college: Madonna) supported him with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Even 12 points and 7 rebounds by guard Roosevelt Williams (186-2) did not help to save the game for Tigers. Forward Thomas Gerovich (200-4) added 8 points and 9 rebounds for the guests. Despite that victory Magic went down to seventh position (League) due to points difference. Loser Tigers keep the third place with three games lost. Magic will meet at home Giants (#10) in the next round. Tigers will play against Cougars (#9) and hope to secure a win.
