Very important is a home loss of third ranked Tigers (10-5) against ninth ranked Cougars (7-9) on Saturday night. Host Tigers were crushed by Cougars in Willetton 96-76. Cougars outrebounded Tigers 47-22 including a 37-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Naturalized Greek swingman Nic Pozoglou (196-96) nailed 27 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side and forward Jaarod Holmes (198-94) accounted for 17 points and 12 rebounds. Naturalized Scottish power forward Michael Vigor (206-90) came up with 12 points and forward Travis Fee (192-92) added 10 points respectively for Tigers in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cougars maintains ninth place in League with 7-9 record. Loser Tigers dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. Cougars will meet at home league's leader Lightning in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tigers will play against Wanneroo in Joondalup and hope to secure a win.
