Not a big story in a game in Hamilton Hill where bottom-ranked Slammers (0-16) were rolled over by seventh ranked Cougars (9-8) 88-55 on Saturday. Cougars outrebounded Slammers 49-27 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Center Jessie Edwards (192-95, college: Minnesota) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. Taylah Simmons (185, college: Southeastern) chipped in 19 points and 9 rebounds. Four Cougars players scored in double figures. Zaya Black produced a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds and Adele East added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Cougars moved-up to sixth place in League. Loser Slammers still closes the standings with 16 games lost.
