Everything went according to plan in Findon where Adelaide 36ers beat New Zealand Breakers 98-85 on Sunday. They outrebounded New Zealand Breakers 41-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. Adelaide 36ers looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Dusty Hannahs (193-93, college: Arkansas) who scored 25 points and 4 assists. The former international forward Cameron Bairstow (206-90, college: N.Mexico) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Four Adelaide 36ers players scored in double figures. Adelaide 36ers' coach CJ Bruton allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard William McDowell-White (196-98, college: Fresno St.) produced 27 points and 7 assists and French point guard Hugo Besson (191-1) added 25 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Adelaide 36ers will meet Cairns Taipans on the road in the next round. New Zealand Breakers will play against United in Melbourne and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
