Top ranked United (8-3) recorded its third loss in Findon on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by eighth ranked Adelaide 36ers (4-6) 90-83. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of United. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Cameron Bairstow (206-90, college: N.Mexico) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international power forward Daniel Johnson (212-88, college: Pepperdine) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds. Five Adelaide 36ers players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Sudanese center Jo Lual-Acuil Jr (213-94, college: Baylor) who recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds and forward Jack White (201-97, college: Duke) added 18 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Adelaide 36ers moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Brisbane and Tasmania JJ. Defending champion United still keeps top position with three games lost. Adelaide 36ers is looking forward to face higher ranked Melbourne Phoenix (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. United will play against JackJumpers and is hoping to win this game.
