Undefeated Norwood Flames (0-1) recorded its first loss in Marden on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by top-ranked South Adelaide Panthers (1-0) 75-72. South Adelaide Panthers outrebounded Norwood Flames 55-39 including 18 on the offensive glass. American forward Alexander Starling (198-1989, college: BCU) fired a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 21 rebounds for the winners. Todd Davies chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Raymond Harding (198, college: Southeast CC) produced 32 points and guard Matthew Lycett (194-1990) added 6 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists respectively for lost side. South Adelaide Panthers left bottom position moving up to third place in League. Loser Norwood Flames still closes the standings with one game lost.
