Finals Game 3: Melbourne - Perth 84-66

Melbourne Boomers conquered WNBL title. They overcame Perth in the third decisive game of the championship series to capture the trophy. Boomers outrebounded Perth Lynx 42-31 including a 36-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for international center Eziyoda Magbegor (193-1999) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. The former international center Cayla George (193-1989) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Five Boomers players scored in double figures. American point guard Jackie Young (183-1997, college: Notre Dame) answered with 18 points and the former international guard Samantha Whitcomb (178-1988, college: Washington) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Perth Lynx. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
