Very predictable result in Dandenong where leader Cavaliers (2-0) beat bottom-ranked Rangers (0-2) 86-71 on Saturday. Cavaliers dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Rangers' 24. They outrebounded Rangers 46-31 including 33 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for Jamaican forward Shereesha Richards (185-1993, college: Albany) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 16 rebounds. Point guard Monique Conti (165-1999) helped adding 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Cavaliers players scored in double figures. At the losing side Clare Camac responded with 21 points and power forward Gemma Potter (182-2002) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Cavaliers keep a position of League leader. Loser Rangers still closes the standings with two games lost. Cavaliers will meet Lady Cobras (#12) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Rangers will play against Spectres (#7) in East Burwood and hope to get finally their first victory.
