Not a big story in a game in Wollongong where bottom-ranked Bulls (0-5) were outplayed by eighth ranked Hawks (2-2) 84-62 on Saturday. Hawks dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Bulls' 34. Hawks forced 28 Bulls turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Bulls' players. It was a great evening for Rebecca Abel who led her team to a victory scoring 22 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Ella Dent helped adding 16 points, 6 rebounds, 10 assists and 7 steals. Four Hawks players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Georgia Stirton (173, college: Gonzaga) responded with 15 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized Argentinian swingman Tatyanna Pogonza-Dumas (171-1999) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Hawks moved-up to fifth place in League. Loser Bulls still closes the standings with five games lost. Hawks will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Bulls will play against the league's leader Sharks (#1) and hope to get finally their first victory.
