Regular Season Round 10: N.Adelaide R. - Sturt S. 90-73

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Sturt Sabres (1-1) in Greenacres on Monday night. Visitors were defeated by North Adelaide Rockets (3-0) 90-73. North Adelaide Rockets looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Guard Brad Rathjen (188-1988, college: NIACC) scored 22 points to lead the charge for the winners and American swingman Terry Winn III (201-1995, college: UTRGV) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side forward Jacob Rigoni (198-1998, college: Quinnipiac) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and swingman Hayden Meakes (201-2001, college: ASU) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. North Adelaide Rockets maintains first position in League with 3-0 record. Sturt Sabres at the other side dropped to the sixth place with one game lost. North Adelaide Rockets are looking forward to face Eastern Mavericks (#10) in Mt. Barker in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sturt Sabres will play on the road against Noarlunga City Southern Tigers (#9) in Morphett Vale and are hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
